Choosing plywood is really about matching a board to the punishment a space will hand it. Below, each application explains what the room does to a panel and which LIXA ranges are the natural starting point. Final selection should follow the applicable grade and current product documentation.
A home interior is judged over years, not on handover day. Wardrobes that still close cleanly, panelling that stays flat through monsoon and summer, and skirting that does not lift — that is what a calibrated, well-pressed board buys you in a house.
Kitchens are the harshest room in any home: steam, spills, heat, and cabinet doors opened thousands of times a year. Boiling-water-proof glue lines and VPT-treated veneers matter here more than anywhere else in the house.
Loose and built-in furniture lives or dies on how the board machines and how it holds a fixing. Even thickness gives clean edges and tight joints; a consolidated core keeps hinges and runners from working loose.
Bedrooms are enclosed rooms occupied for a third of every day, which is why emission behaviour and insect protection come up in these conversations as often as finish quality does.
Living rooms carry the visible joinery: TV walls, display units, feature panelling. Flatness and edge quality do most of the work in making these pieces look designed rather than assembled.
Workstations, storage walls and meeting-room joinery take commercial-grade daily use, and office fit-outs are also where a fire-retardant line most often appears in the specification.
Retail, hospitality and clinical interiors are refreshed on a schedule but must look immaculate throughout. Higher warranty tiers and fire-retardant positioning are usually decided at the drawing stage here.
When plywood is written into a schedule, the specification has to be unambiguous. Each LIXA range keeps its grade, features and warranty separate so a drawing can call out exactly one product without ambiguity.
